BioPro Pharmaceutical In-Licenses Fentanyl Patch Product from Helm Pharmaceuticals GmbH for Distribution throughout Asia

San Francisco, California. March 13, 2007: BioPro Pharmaceutical, Inc, based in San Francisco, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Helm Pharmaceuticals GmbH of Hamburg, Germany for exclusive rights to develop, distribute and sell Helm’s Fentanyl patch product in most countries of Asia, excluding Japan. The Fentanyl patch is used for the sustained treatment of pain due to radiation, chemotherapy and/or other forms of traditional treatment for cancer.
BioPro Pharmaceutical has been granted exclusive rights to pursue regulatory approval, and market Helm’s Fentanyl patch throughout Asia excluding Japan. Under the agreement, Helm will receive certain payments as a result of this transaction. Helm will deliver product inventory for BioPro Pharmaceutical and retain manufacturing and other production rights relevant to future product sales.
